The former Samter’s building at Lackawanna and Penn avenues is under contract for sale, according to 
the website of Hinerfeld Commercial Real Estate of Scranton that’s marketing the property.
Efforts to reach the Hinerfeld Realtor were unsuccessful.
The Samter’s building is one of two former Boscov properties downtown that NBT Bank foreclosed upon on and acquired ownership through a sheriff’s sale in October. The other is the former Oppenheim property at Lackawanna and Wyoming avenues, which remains for sale for $2.9 million, according to the website.
