A nationwide wholesale retailer of sports nutrition and health products to the retail trade is moving its distribution hub from Scranton to Dunmore.

The Hinerfeld Commercial Real Estate Co. recently brokered a deal on behalf of Connecticut-based Eurpac Service Inc. — the parent company of Scranton-based Muscle Foods USA — that will see the Muscle Foods distribution hub relocated to the Keystone Industrial Park in Dunmore.

“They needed more space and more efficient layout of the space,” said John Cognetti, owner and president of Hinerfeld. “The other building (at 701 Hudson Flame, Scranton) was not built for the volume of business they were doing.”

Eurpac will lease 43,446 square feet of space in a 242,276 square foot, multi-tenant industrial building located at 100 Keystone Industrial Park Road in Dunmore. The building is owned by Dunmore Warehouse Investors LP of Blue Bell.

Mr. Cognetti said the new location has higher ceilings, allowing the wholesale distributor more room to store their products. It also has a single floor level, where their current location has multiple. This will allow for more efficient storage, Mr. Cognetti said.

The Dunmore location is also convenient from a distribution perspective, as the Keystone Industrial Park’s location at the confluence of Interstate 81, Interstate 84, Interstate 380 and the Casey Highway represents a distribution point within a one day drive of Canada, New England, Ohio and the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-South regions.
