John T. Cognetti, SIOR, CCIM, President of Hinerfeld Commercial Real Estate announced today that the company has completed the leasing of the Mount Pleasant Medical and Professional Building.
Located in the Mt. Pleasant Corporate Center, adjacent to Scranton’s Central Business District, it is within five minutes of the two hospital systems and the Commonwealth Medical College.
The 30,750 square foot building has as tenants Physicians Health Alliance, Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery P.C., LabCorp and Geisinger System Services.
The building was developed by Beacon Medical Real Estate, LLC. Beacon is a real estate development partnership which offers a one stop shop approach to developing health care assets. Beacon has paired their over fifty years of construction and development experience with health care providers on over 1.5 million square feet of medical arts real estate throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The Mt. Pleasant Corporate Center was developed by SLIBCO, the development arm of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Cognetti commented that to develop an office park, build a new building and fully lease it up during the great recession which affected all classes of real estate and quite seriously the City of Scranton, is quite an accomplishment. Started in 2009 and fully leased in 2012, this building is the newest office building to be built in the City in the last twelve years.
Mr. Cognetti said, “It took foresight, determination and hard work from everyone involved to accomplish this.”
